His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, who is also the President of the Bisha University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, has presented his condolence massage, when he called citizen Abdul Aziz Al Shahrani, the father of a lecturer - Sarah Abdul Aziz Al Shahrani - of the Faculty of Science, at the University of Bisha, who died along with her accompanying brother, as a result of a traffic accident. The terrible accident took place in Bisha yesterday.

In his call, President Al Dawood presented his condolences and the condolences of all the staff of King Khalid University, and of Bisha University, for the family of the deceased, praying to God - the Almighty - to spread His mercy on them, and to inspire their families patience and fortitude.

The President of King Khalid University his excellency, Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al Daoud has agreed to a resolution to set apart boys and girls colleges in the province of Al-Namas from the University Vice - President for Educational and Academic Affairs and University Vice - President for girls college, to be transferred to the General Supervisor of the University branch in Bisha.

The resolution was based on the decree of the Higher Education Board which at its 72nd session approved the conversion of King Khalid University branch in Bisha and its neighboring provinces to independent university called "University of Bisha". The new university will include colleges existing in the provinces of Bisha, Al-Namas, Balqarn, Sabt Alaya, and Tathleeth. The resolution is under the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, who advised for the maintenance of the status quo until the committee formed to work out the modalities for the exercise completes its task regarding the setting apart of Bisha University from King Khalid University.

Engineering Collage in KKU branch in BIsha has two departments Civil and Mechanical.      

 Alqarni : Collage of Engineering students will begin studying in King Khalid University branch in Bisha next year

General Supervisor of KKU branch in Bisha (Bisha University ) Dr. Mahdi Bin Ali Alqarni has clarified that Collage of Engineering students will begin studying in King Khalid University branch in Bisha next year. He also pointed to that the university have prepared what makes students and faculty have a  successful academic career  by equipping and supplying workshops and labs in this new collage .

In return, Projects Administration Manager of KKU branch in Bisha , ENG Sultan Mohammed Mtihen said that, these workshops includes industrial, ,specialized electrical, welding, metalwork and  carpentry workshops and labs.

He indicates that, it covers all engineering collage curriculums and courses  of Preparatory Year. He also added the college signed contracts with contractors and specialized companies to provide this collage with devises and necessary equipments.

In the same context, Dr. Mahdi Ibn Ali Alqarni has recently met King Khalid University Vice President for Health Specialties Dr. Khalid Saad Al Jalban (Committee President that works on making reports and defining the final status of starting medicine and engineering collage in Bish University).

This committee visited the rental buildings of the tow collages and reviewed their detailed charts and their developing. 

Then they visited the male academic campus to review its constructional development and its lecture halls.

And by the end of the visit, they held a meeting with a number of University leads in Bisha.

It worth to mention that engineering collage in KKU branch in BIsha has two departments civil and mechanical.

It is honor of King Khalid University branch in Bisha, when His Royal Highness, Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud begins his visit to the province of Bisha with a meeting with his sons of students in Higher and General Education. It will be an open meeting on Thursday 16/07/1435 AH, and there will be a live broadcast of the meeting via the portal of the university starting at 11:30 a.m.

Last Tuesday, the Governor of Bisha, Mr. Mohammed Bin Saud Mathami patronized the graduation ceremony of King Khalid University students, Bisha branch, for the academic year 1434/1435AH.  They reached 2048 graduates.

Mathami started the ceremony with a word in which he congratulated the graduates as well as the people of Bisha in general on the issuance of the Royal Decree to establish the University of Bisha.

In this regard, the General Supervisor of the university branch at Bisha, Dr. Mahdi Bin Ali Al-Qarni welcomed the attendees. He thanked Allah for the blessing of security and safety that prevails in our beloved country, under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince Royal Highness, Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, the Crown Deputy, His Royal Highness, Prince Meqrin Bin Abdul Aziz.

During the celebration, everyone presented loyalty to the king on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of the pledge of allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

The Vice Dean of Admission and Registration Deanship, Dr. Mohammed Bin Burgess Al-Shahrani congratulated the graduates, who reached 2048 student. 20 students have obtained the first and second honor degree. The ceremony was concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation for outstanding students

In his private capacity, and on behalf of the university employees (officials, teaching staff) and students (males & females), His Excellency the University President, Prof. Abdulrahman Bin Hamad Al-Dawood, expressed his gratitude and thanks to His Excellency, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, for his Royal Decree to establish new three universities that will join the structure of Higher Education, a matter close his heart.

Al-Dawood said, "The Custodian of the two Holy Mosques cherishes the human improvement and scientific development of the citizens of our dear homeland. This Royal Decree proves this reflects the continuous support with regard to science and students around the Kingdom. On announcing the decree to  declare Bisha an independent University and naming it “Bisha University”, Dr. Al Dawood confirmed that,"King Khalid University has received great care - like other Universities - under the auspices of the wise leadership of the Kingdom since its inception fifteen years ago. A result of this great care was the spread of its branches in a number of areas in the southern region of our beloved Kingdom. Campuses in Jazan and Najran were turned into two independent universities that contribute scientific value among prestigious universities. Leadership continued the support of the university until the number of colleges exceeded fifty, spread over fourteen provinces in the Southern Region of Saudi Arabia., regularly educating more than seventy thousand students (males and females) . This royal decree transfers King Khalid University’s Bisha branch into an independent University called ”Bisha University”. This university includes thirteen colleges distributed across Bisha, Al Namas, Balqarn, and Tathlith. It is considered the second university in Asir Province. The decision reflects the sharp vision of wise leadership".

He added, "The decision enhances the capabilities of both universities to apply academic quality standards, and take care of perfecting plans and programs. It also gives them greater opportunity for improvement and development, focusing on the quality of output and excellence, and spreading higher education in all regions and provinces consistent with the development plans of this generous country".

The KKU President confirmed that the university and its employees sincerely praise the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and the Crown Prince  on this historic decision, and appreciate the efforts and guidance of His Highness the Prince of Asir Province, His Royal Highness, Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, who was behind every achievement and excellence. Furthermore, Al Dawood thanked His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, who takes great care of King Khalid University.

Dr. Al Dawood prayed that Allah keep the welfare of this ountry and people, and protect its leadership and security.
