The Deanship of Academic Development and Quality is arranging numerous training courses in the current University year for both men and women. The training courses aim at improving the skills of the teaching staff at King Khalid University. Furthermore, the training courses aim at spreading the quality culture university-wide. Indeed, a number of courses have been implemented such as Quality Guarantee which was submitted by the Vice-President of the Academic Development and Quality Deanship, Dr. Saeed bin Saad Al-Hady, and attended by Deans, Vice-Deans, and Coordinators. During the course, Dr. Al-Hady reviewed the standards of the institutional and academic accreditation. He also praised some of the programs presented in the university, which have stepped forward to obtain programmatic accreditation. 

The program will include a training workshop on the program itself. It is, in fact, one of the most important programs in the creative thinking learning programs. In addition, the workshop will present the program tools, conduct practical demonstrations, and complete technical exercises.

Given these points, His Excellency, the Dean of the Academic Development and Quality Deanship, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Hajiri, confirmed that the training program comes as part of the University's strategic plan to initiate systematic and comprehensive training programs in order to enhance the skills and academic abilities of teaching staff in the university. He added that the program includes many areas such as quality and accreditation, human resource development, and teaching strategies of modern methodologies.

Tharban

The Faculty of Languages and Translation of King Khalid University conducted three training courses, within the activities of the university's fourth health, educational, and awareness program which is being held in the Thrban Center in the province of Majardh. The training courses targeted the teachers of English who serve in the different stages of education in the province and its affiliating centers.

The first course handled the issue of the use of knowledge background in teaching the English language, and it was presented by the Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation, Dr. Abdullah Al Melhi. During the course, Dr. Al Melhi explained that the course focused on how to teach reading in English as a second language, using books of the general education. At the end of the course, Dr. Al Melhi answered the attendees' questions and inquiries.

For his part, a member of the teaching staff at the Faculty of Languages and Translation, Dr. Eyhab Badr Eddin, presented another training course entitled, "The Negative and the Positive Impact of the Native Language (Arabic) to Learn and Use the English language." Moreover, both Dr. Farouk Haji and Mr. Matthew Paul from the faculty presented a training course, which handled the use of Social networks and modern technology when teaching of English Language. The Deanship of Student Affairs at King Khalid University (KKU), represented by the Vice - Presidency of Development and Quality, has organized a number of training courses provided to university students - male and female - during the first semester of the current academic year. The purpose of such courses is to develop students' creative skills. 571 male students and 1196 female student have benefited from the provided courses. The total number of the students who benefited from the courses reached 1767 students.

On this inportant matter, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Development and Quality, who is also the General Supervisor of the courses, Dr. Abdullah Bin Mansour Al Edeid, pointed out that the Vice - Presidency launched its training programs at the beginning of the first semester of this academic year, and were held over six consecutive weeks, with an average of two days each week. He also clarified that the provided courses included the following headings: presentation skills, positive thinking, scientific innovation, entrepreneurship, arts of organizing events, and sound engineering. Dr. Al Edeid said, "The diversity of the content of courses aimed at the development of the capabilities, skills, and knowledge of male and female students."

Regarding the courses the Deanship intends to conduct during the next semester, Dr. Al Edeid confirmed that the Vice - Presidency has completed arranging the courses of the second semester of this academeic year. He added, "Within the headings of planned courses are problem-solving skills, psychographics, the dynamics of human achievement, and teamwork management. In details, the program of expected courses will be announced in the beginning of the second semester."

Student Affairs Deanship of King Khalid University (KKU), represented by Development and Quality Deanship, has completed a training program for more than 20 students who are heads of the students' clubs. The training program had taken place in Malaysia under the title "Thinking skills CORT-1" and "Life success skills".

Regarding this development, the Dean of Quality and Development Deanship, Abdullah Al Adeed, confirmed that the program had been directed to the Heads of the student clubs. The purpose was to introduce two of the most important skills in their lives; the thinking and the success skill. The Dean said, "I hope participants get benefit of the program, and achieved desirable goals."

The Deanship of Student Affairs of King Khalid University (KKU), represented by the Vice - Presidency for Development and Quality has offered conducting a number of training courses for the students of the university. The courses seek to improve the creative skills of the students of the university.

The Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Development and Quality, Dr. Abdullah Al Edeid, who is also the General Supervisor stated that the Vice - Presidency launched its training programs for the first semester of this year a week ago, and will continue for 6 weeks, two days a week. Dr. Edeid explained that the diversity of courses aimed at developing capacity, skills, and knowledge, and they offer many skills to the beneficiaries such as presentation, positive thinking, scientific innovation, entrepreneurship, arts and organizing events, and sound engineering.
