University faculty members reap the first places in Rashid bin Humaid Award for Culture and Science
Within the branches of Rashid bin Humaid Award for Culture and Sciences, Prof. Abdul Hamid Al Housami, a faculty member at King Khalid University, was awarded the first place in literary criticism branch. Dr. Ibrahim Abu Talib from King Khalid University obtained the second place in literary criticism branch. Dr. Hamada Shukri achieved in the same competition the first place in engineering branch.
It should be noted that Rashid bin Humaid Award for Culture and Science has firstly appeared in 1983 under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman. Rashid bin Humaid Award has aimed to spread knowledge on the deep foundation of faith in God, to cherish the timeless values of Islam and its glorious civilization, to achieve distinct cultural development of the community, to support scientific research process, to enrich the cultural life and the dissemination of research and specialized studies and creative works, in addition to communicating with related awards and institutions and strengthen the leading role of the award in the community.
