"Praise be to Allah and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), his family, and companions and then after: I am pleased to welcome you all on the occasion of the new academic year 1437/1438 AH. I would like to congratulate you too, on the Eid Al Adha - may God return more of it to us and to our country, and may our nation enjoy wellness and blessings. I would like to direct my word particularly to the students who have joined the university this year, congratulating them on their acceptance in the university. I am also pleased to extend a special welcome to colleagues and faculty members, especially to those who have joined the university this year."

Dear brothers and sisters, "You represent a qualitative addition that we cherish. The university has chosen you from among large numbers that wish to join it in an honest scientific competition. And here is your university well prepared to welcome you by harnessing all of its infrastructures and facilities to you. So make sure to take full advantage of the services offered by the university, particularly the Central Library and the systems of e-learning, and other facilities that help students to receive useful knowledge and at the same time helping faculty members to perform their duties to the fullest. Luckily we are witnessing a coincidence - the beginning of the new academic year with the achievement of the University of obtaining an advanced place in the QS ranking, as well as achieving the 3rd place in digital excellence award - science and technology award sites branch.

"The King Khalid University boasts various specializations; legitimate, scientific, medical and literary. These fields could not be developed without teamwork and your hard work that definitely contribute to a comprehensive academic transformation which enables the university to play a leading role in the field of education, and to enhance its role in scientific research and in community service; to continue a landmark in the way of science and knowledge in our country. King Khalid University is one of the lofty institutions in our country that takes care of creativity and the development of talent, in addition to preparing an innovative generation to contribute to the overall national development that the University is animating from the kingdom's vision 2030."

"My sons and daughters, "The University is keen on meeting your ambitions in order to activate your role in serving the country and to harness your energies and competencies to become able to participate in building a strong nation. So, you have to be diligent and perseverant to benefit yourself first and your parents and your society, and secondly, to achieve all your ambitions.

"I personally assure you in collaboration with my colleagues, including university Vice - Presidents, deans, Vice - Deans, Heads of departments and faculty members, of the creation of a distinctive campus environment which serves students and which applies the highest principles of justice and equal opportunities. In this context, we must harness the latest findings of science for you and we have to realize that we are living in the era of knowledge revolution that requires good absorption and quick accurate follow-up."

On the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year.

His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University (KKU), Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Salami, made an inspection tour to the building of the Community College in Mahala. The tour took place yesterday - Monday 14 / 10 / 1437AH. His Excellency the Rector was received by His Excellency the Vice Dean of Community College, Dr. Ali Al-Marzouk, and a number of employees of the College.

At the beginning of the tour, a brief introduction about the college and its facilities was presented. The introduction showed that the college includes more than 4,000 students; community service students, and joint programs, in addition to Dhahran Al-Janoub province students. The college also contains several vital facilities such as computer labs and English language labs, in addition to the scientific disciplines labs, e-learning, a gym, a theater with more than 1,000 chairs, and a mosque.

After that, Rector Al Salami made a tour to all the college's facilities and made a call for the need to run the university restaurant, to renew it and to re-create its services and facilities so as to be able to serve the maximum number of students. He pointed to the need for rapid completion of the project so as to serve the summer semester students in the current period, and all the students at the beginning of the next academic year. Rector Al Salami was also briefed on the college library services, where he insisted on the need to ensure the availability of all references needed by college students, in addition to the need for activating the role of the digital library.

The Rector also stressed on the need to improve the internet networks services in the college, in addition to the provision and the creation of special safety systems in all college labs, conditioning, and maintenance of the building in general.

At the end of the tour, the Rector visited the gym building and checked on the construction work, on which he stressed on the need to adhere to the date of delivery of the buildings at the time.

His Excellency the Rector paid tribute to all the college's stakeholders for their unwavering efforts, saying that the observations on the building and its facilities were few and do not constitute an obstacle to the project. He said, "All the departments of the university have to cooperate with the college to fulfill its needs and requirements."

The Rector stressed on implementing those tasks before the beginning of the next academic year. He added, "We must decide on the maintenance work from the beginning of next week, and colleagues at the college should provide us with reports of what is being done of these actions on a regular basis until it is completed." He further explained that he would pay another inspection visit to the building at the beginning of the academic year.

His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Salami, has paid an inspection visit to a number of university facilities. The visited sites included the University Center for the Study of Female Students at Al-Samer, the building of Admission and Registration, and the University Centre for the study of Female Students in Lassan.

After his tour of the University Center for the Study of the Female Students in Al-Samer and Lassan, His Excellency the Rector directed for the immediate establishment of a supporting services management due to the urgent need of such services. Then, the Rector took notes on a number of observations that need to be developed in the coming period in order to provide the appropriate environment for the students and the auditors as well, including buildings.

During his visit, His Excellency the Rector was briefed on the works of the Deanship of Admission and Registration in the University City in Abha. After that, the Rector held a meeting to explain the stages of acceptance and registration, and the electronic services offered to students of the university by the deanship. The Rector also talked about his future vision.

His Excellency Dr. Al-Salami explained that he started his visit with Admission and Registration Deanship because of its major role and services offered to the main target – the students -throughout the academic year. Rector Al Salami said, "I noticed the quality of work and the great organization that reflect the role of the Deanship, in addition to the electronic services provided. He added, "I have been listening to the views of the deanship stakeholders and I promise to address the problems in a timely manner, especially at this period in which the Deanship is receiving the fresh applications from intending students for the new academic year. I wish everyone to be dedicated to serving our students."

His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz - the Governor of Asir Region - received, yesterday morning, at his office in the emirate, His Excellency, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Salami - the new President of King Khalid University. The appointment of the new President came through the issuance of the Royal decree appointing him as President of the King Khalid University (KKU), and appointing His Excellency Prof. Dr. Marei Bin Hussein Al Qahtani, as the President of Jazan University.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prince Faisal thanked His Excellency Dr. Al Qahtani, and appreciated all what he did during his tenure in King Khalid University. The Governor wished him success anywhere he would be.

His Royal Highness Governor Faisal also urged His Excellency Dr. Al Salami on the need to take advantage of previous experiences as well as to make every effort to improve education process, stressing the importance of continuing efforts to develop the education system in the region.

For his part, the President of King Khalid University showed his happiness with the meeting with His Royal Highness, the Governor of the region. He listened carefully to all his guidance and directions. Finally, Dr. Al Salami wished himself the success in serving the nation.

On Sunday morning the 21st of Ramadan 1437 AH, His Excellency, the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaallah Alsolamy, has started his duties as the President of King Khalid University (KKU). His Excellency Dr. Alsolamy met in his office, with the University vice - presidents, and with a number of the institution's employees from academic and administrative sections, in addition to receiving a number of reviewers from outside the university.

On his first day in office, His Excellency Dr. Alsolmay, was keen on sending a telegram to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud - may God protect him - and to the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammad Bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, as well as to the Deputy Crown Prince, His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed Bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz. In his message, the university President thanked the leadership for the great confidence they have on him to occupy this position. 

It is worth mentioning that a royal decree No. A/186 18 / 9 / 1437 AH, was issued at the end of the last week to appoint Dr. Faleh bin Rajaallah Alsolamy to the exalted rank of the President of the King Khalid University. We pray to God - The Almighty - to help the new President in performing fully, the duties entrusted on him so as to actively participate in the processes of educational development in Asir region.

The Rector of King Khalid and Bisha Universities, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood has congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz, and the Deputy Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz - God save them - on the first anniversary of the allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - God protect him. Rector Al Dawood said, "The anniversary of the allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques comes while our dear homeland witnesses a comprehensive renaissance and development, under the wise leadership that made continued reform and development at the top of its priorities. The citizen lives a period of quantum leap in the area of care and services in all scientific, cultural, social, physical and economic fields."

Dr. Al Dawood confirmed that this prosperous era - the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud - was characterized by reforms in a row, continuing development, comprehensive development, and it is the era of achievement, work, decisiveness and insight. In one year, everyone has witnessed the Kingdom turning into a beehive that does not stop in order to achieve the aspirations of the homeland and the citizen's welfare. The Rector added, "Undeniably, even the history will never deny the king's wise decisions and determined policies, which kicked off a victory of legitimacy in Yemen, stopped the expansion plans of the Houthi, and rescued the weak who suffered injustice, oppression, and aggression of the Houthi. Therefore, the decisive storm announced the resolve to face the tyranny, followed by hope restore storm, which restored hope and a hijacked legitimacy." Rector Al Dawood continued, "The era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, is witnessing a comprehensive renaissance in all areas, in particular higher education, where universities have been receiving support and encouragement that enable the Saudi Universities to compete with their regional and international counterparts. Undoubtedly, God willing, this support will increase efforts, improve output, and achieve aspirations."

At the conclusion of his statement, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Dawood, showed his gratitude and appreciation by praising and thanking the leadership of this blessed country for all what they offered, and for what they are offering for the sake of the citizens' development and well-being. He also thanked His Excellency the Governor of Asir region, His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, on his continued support and follow-up for the Universities of King Khalid and Bisha. Rector Al Dawood also thanked his Excellency, the Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa, for his permanent guidance and support. Finally, Rector Al Dawood prayed to God to sustain grace, safety, and security under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and the Crown Prince, and the Deputy Crown Prince - God save them.

His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University (KKU), Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, has signed a number of contracts that are related to the projects of King Khalid University and its colleges. The total amount of these contracts is estimated at SR 34,939,213.

The contracts included one signed to secure a workshop for faculty members and administrative managers of the university, in addition to another to secure student's chair for 40,000 students. Another contract signed was for consulting studies for the technical and professional development of documents and archiving Center. Also signed was one for strengthening the infrastructure for Information Technology (IT).

Today and under the patronage of King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al dawood, the Public Administration of University Relations organized the annual greeting celebration for all its employees. During the celebration, the attendees exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. The venue of the occasion was at the headquarters of the University in the University City in Abha.

During the ceremony, Rector Al dawood met a number of University vice - presidents, deans, faculty members, and staff. At the beginning of the meeting, Rector Al dawood expressed his delight with the large turnout of the employees of the university to the occasion, terming it thus "It reflects respect and familiarity among employees of the university,". Rector Al dawood added, "Happy Eid and May God accept all our good deeds, acceptable Hajj and commendable effort." The Rector added "The purpose of organizing such ceremonies is to let the stakeholders of the university introduce themselves and exchange congratulations and blessings among themselves. The occasion is also a real opportunity for performing the social roles in addition to our formal and educational roles."

His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Dawood has inspected a number of new projects in girls' colleges, including those in the Academic Complex for girls at King Abdullah Road. The Rector checked how the work was going on, and the levels of achievement in the expansion project of the Education College for girls in Abha.

His Excellency the Rector was received on the sites by His Excellency the Vice - President for Projects, Dr. Sulaiman Alsoyan, and by His Excellency the Vice - President of the Girls' colleges, Dr. Saad bin Dajm, in addition to a number of deans and university employees.

The expansion project of College of Education for girls in Abha contains 6 blocks, as halls, including 24 auditoriums and 2 buildings for laboratories, which includes 12 computer and language labs. There are also 2 administrative blocks within which are 28 offices. The total number of administrative offices in the buildings - classrooms and laboratories inclusive - reached 40 in number.

His Excellency the President of King Khalid University Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Dawood confirmed that the package of the royal resolutions issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God save him - are wise resolutions and are in the interest of the nation and citizens. The resolutions promote stability and national cohesion in this holy country.

President Al Dawood stated that the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques of progress and stability for the nation in addition to achieving the aspirations of the citizens and their well-being, have all become obvious and a fact that everyone could notice. The wise resolutions are an evidence of a sort of leadership that has dedicated itself to the service of  religion, to the development of the homeland and the progress of its people. President Al Dawood added that the resolutions were issued to keep the cohesion of the country and to enhance its stability. Moreover, they are a confirmation of this blessed country's commitment to the works it has started since the era of the founder, King Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud - God rest his soul - to this prosperous reign era of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz - may God protect him. The country still sticks to legitimate constants political and strategic visions in order to remain as the heart of Islam and the oasis of stability and generosity.

The president of King Khalid University pointed out saying "appointing His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Naïf bin Abdul Aziz as the Crown Prince is informed by his national standing and wise leadership which is witnessed everywhere. In fact, he is the best successor to the best predecessor. In addition, appointing His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz as the Deputy Crown Prince confirms what all guessed, that His Royal Highness is keen on religious services, is keen on his country, as well as on the issues of the Arab and Islamic nations. The both appointees are acceptable and no one can deny their ability to achieve the vision of leadership and the requirements of the stage and the concerns of nationals". President Al Dawood further said, "We, at King Khalid University - administration, stakeholders and students - pledge our allegiance to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Naïf bin Abdul Aziz as the crown prince, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz as Deputy Crown Prince, based on the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)".

At the conclusion of his statement, His Excellency the President prayed to God the Almighty, to help the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Naïf bin Abdul Aziz, and the Deputy Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and to consolidate them and to give them a hand to help Islam and Muslims.
