King Khalid University explained that the bus accident of one of the female university buses took place at approximately 7:10 am on Thursday 13/6/1439 AH behind the Saudi German Hospital in Khamis Mushait. Fifteen students incurred minor injuries and were attended to by the Civil Defense and Red Crescent and then transferred to the Civilian Hospital in Khamis Mushait, where ten students were released, and two were transferred to the Saudi German Hospital as reported by the university spokesperson, Dr. Abdullah Al Hamad.

King Khalid University celebrated the 16th graduation of the university female students at the university theater, Al-jrejer, 26/6/1435AH. The ceremony witnessed honoring graduates of Doctoral, Master, and BA graduates.

On this occasion, the President of the University, Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al-Dawood, gave a recorded word, thanking His Highness, the Prince of Asir region, for his patronage of the ceremony and his participation in the students' joy of graduation. He said, "This proves the leaders' and governors' care and interest- God protect them - in this blessed country to support the education process."

He added, "The University is proud of its graduates, male and female, who are armed with science and knowledge in all scientific, theoretical, and medical disciplines to contribute to the building and the welfare of this country."

In this regard, the Vice-President of the Admission and Registration Deanship, Dr. Hanan Al-Saadi, expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the leader of the march to Higher Education, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdulla Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness, the Prince of Asir region, Prince Faisal Bin Khalid.

Al-Saadi said that the total number of graduates this year reached 12 163 students, male and female, and the number of graduates of the literary sections reached 6 711 students, 55% of the graduates.


The number of graduates from scientific, medical, engineering, and computer departments reached 5 425 students, 45% of the graduates.

Al-Saadi also confirmed that the university is seeking to create disciplines needed by the labor market. She explained that the number of Graduate Studies students is growing. She stressed that the following years will witness remarkable growth and a significant increase.



World Water Day:

KKU Community College Students Perform Awareness Play

Community College students at King Khalid University performed a themed play, entitled "Punish those who waste water and electricity." during a celebration at the women's section of the Aseer Water Directorate General’s World Water Day, in the presence of 20 governmental and private organizations.

The Dean of the Abha Community College, Dr. Munira Abu Hamama, explained that participation was key to the celebration of the World Water Day, and it showed King Khalid University’s keenness to take part in raising awareness of water issues and the role of the community in preserving it.

She also mentioned that the participation of Community College students in such events reinforces their spirit of cooperation, teamwork, and community partnership, so that they can play a positive role in all aspects of society. She said, "At King Khalid University, we are very keen on student involvement in various educational activities to achieve the desired benefits, God willing."

In turn, the head of the women's section at the Aseer Directorate General of Water, Mrs. Areej Mohammed Thumairy, explained that the Directorate is keen on involving members of the community in awareness and ways of rationalizing water consumption to deliver the message faster and more comprehensively.

In addition to this, the Media and Communication Department at King Khalid University for Girls intends to arrange weekly a meeting, gathering students of the Department and well-known female journalists in order to benefit from their practical experience in this field.
