King Khalid University signed a cooperation agreement with the Association of Human Rights in the Asir Region. The Vice Dean for Educational and Academic Affairs, Dr. Saad Dajjam, represented the University while Dr. Ali Bin Issa Al Shaabi represented the Association.

This agreement proved the joint responsibilities of both King Khalid University and Association of Human Rights in the Asir Region towards the communities of the Asir Region and the need to seek integration between the two sides, in order to raise the level of programs and activities that foster human development and preserve its rights in the region.

Areas of cooperation include holding human rights lessons, lectures and speeches and other areas of mutual interest. Cooperation will also seek to hold joint training courses in human rights, family security and safety and other human rights areas, in addition to implementing scientific studies in the same area.  The agreement also aims at taking advantage of the possibilities possessed by the two parties in the exchange of experts and specialists and the dissemination of human rights culture, through the activities and events implemented by the university for students and employees.

In his speech, Dean of the Institute of Research and Consultations, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Hadithi said the agreement aims to raise the level of coordination and cooperation between the two parties. The university will offer its scientific potential in supporting studies and issues monitored by the association in the human rights, social, humanitarian, and family fields.

On the sidelines of the first meeting of voluntary work, "Ataa" which is being held at the King Khalid University (KKU), the Rector, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al Solamy patronized signing partnership agreements with King Khalid University, the Arab Center for Rights and Training, and "Basamh" program for community service.

KKU was represented by the Dean of Research and Consultancy Institute, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Hadithi, while the Arab Center for Rights and Training was represented by its president, Dr. Hadi Bin Ali Al-Yami. The agreement aims to find areas of cooperation in training Sharia and law students of the university in the legally applied field, and prepare them for the labor market, as well as cooperation regarding coordination and organization of diverse events and the participation of faculty members, and the like of specialists in Sharia and law, in the provision of training programs.

For his part, the Dean of Student Service, Dr. Merria'e bin Saad Al Habash University represented the university in signing the agreement with the General Director of "Mutqan" Basamh program for community service, Mr. Hisham bin Saleh Rezq.

 It is noteworthy that these agreements came to prove the university's interest in harnessing efforts and capabilities to enhance the students' abilities, as they are strong pillars which will hopefully make the achievements of the nation now and then. These agreements also proved the University's belief in cooperation with relevant authorities, which is considered an important and successful means, in addition to providing development programs that empower the youth of life and professional skills.

In the presence of His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz - the Governor of Asir region - and on the sidelines of the launch of a number of girls' colleges' projects at King Khalid University, a partnership agreement between King Khalid University (KKU), and the Asir Foundation for Press and Publication, "Al-Watan" was signed.

Al-Watan" newspaper was represented at the signing of the agreement by its editor, Dr. Othman Alsini, while the University was represented by the chancellor and spokesman, who is also the General Supervisor of Media Center, Mr. Fahd bin Noma. The agreement has included many items which are in the interest of the two parties, and which will provide many gains at all levels.

The signing was attended by the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, and a number of university officials.

In a move to serve the public interest and the needs of the community of advisory services, the King Khalid University (KKU) Vice - President for Educational and Academic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al - Hassoun, has today, sponsored the signing of an agreement between the Engineering Consultancy Office of the university and the municipality of Khamis Mushayt. The aim of the agreement is to support the idea of mutual training, such as the training for the students of the Faculty of Engineering, as well as to enable the two parties to take advantage of the technical potentialities, such as academic laboratories, materials, equipment, and supplies. Moreover, the agreement empowers officials of the two organizations to organize scientific seminars and meetings in a manner that does not affect the schedules of the educational process at the university.

During the signing of the agreement, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ibrahim Filqa, represented the University, while Mayor Ali bin Saad bin Makhfoor, represented the Municipality of Khamis Mushayt. The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering explained that the agreement was in the public interest and the needs of the community of advisory services that were provided by the Office. He said, "Several coordination meetings have been held between the experts of both parties to outline joint cooperation as a road map, not inconsistent with law and regulations that control governmental sectors and the faculty Advisory Bureau in this regard".

At the presence of the governor of Asir Region, His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul - Aziz, and His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University (KKU), Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al dawood, an internal cooperation agreement between Research Institute and the Intellectual Awareness Unit of the university was signed. Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Hadithi represented the Research Institute at the signing, while the unity of intellectual awareness was represented by Dr. Yahya Al-Bakri. The signing of the agreement was on the sidelines of the opening events of the First International dental conference.

Under the auspices of His Excellency the assigned President of Bisha University Prof. Abdulrahman Hamad Aldawood, a memorandum of understanding was signed yesterday morning between Bisha University, represented by the faculties of Medicine and Applied Medical Sciences, and the Directorate of Health Affairs in the governorate of Bisha.

The agreement is stipulated to take advantage of the large health potentialities made available by the presence of Health Affairs facilities which help in educating health colleges' students, in addition to training them through these facilities. Furthermore, the agreement included the provision of lectures and theoretical clinical lessons, with the opportunity to train the graduates of health colleges in the internship stage, and to evaluate them according to the approved regulations of health colleges. In addition, the agreement guarantees the provision of health, therapeutic, and consulting services, and contribution to the development of community health, plus participating in the preparation of seminars, conferences and workshops, as well as the development of scientific research in the health fields prevailing in the area, and finally, helping to disseminate research.

Bisha University was represented in this Agreement by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine who is also the supervisor of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Muhammad Abadi Al Salim. The Directorate of Health Affairs was represented by Dr. Meateq Saad Al Sarhani.

King Khalid University signed a cooperation agreement with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Abha.

      The cooperation agreements aim at the areas of academic, investment and tourism cooperation between the       both sides.

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Asir region and in the presence of His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Abdulrahman Hamad Al Dawood, the Vice - President for Development and Quality, Dr. Ahmed Aljbaili has signed a cooperation agreement between the university and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Abha. Signing the agreement was during the opening ceremony of the Entrepreneurship International Conference, which was organized by the Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Aljbaili stressed the importance of entrepreneurship in the academic society, emphasizing the attention of the Kingdom through its practical steps taken in this regard. He also pointed to the university approved programs in order to support such orientation, believing that those programs were represented in the management and operation of Entrepreneurship and incubation for sponsorship of small projects.

For his part, the Dean of Advisory Research Institute, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Ibrahim Alehithe explained that "the agreement aims at the cooperation between the two sides in conducting studies and researches, in addition to providing administrative, academic, industrial and technical consultations. Furthermore, the agreement tries to establish cooperation in training the students to prepare them for the labor market and to facilitate the appointment of graduates in the private sector institutions". He also noted that the agreement included support to the scientific chairs, to the joint research programs and study, and to the development of investment projects. He further stressed that the leading tasks of both sides, through the agreement, were the participation and cooperation in the organization of conferences, seminars, exhibitions, forums and workshops that would ensure exchange of knowledge and joint utilization of experiences, in addition to the cooperation between the university and the Chamber of commerce, in promoting the development of tourism in Asir region.

On behalf of the King Khalid University Vice - President for Development and Quality, Dr. Ahmed Aljbaili, the Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Merrai Al Habash has sponsored on Monday the inauguration ceremony of the project "Invest your thoughts" in collaboration with Highness company to develop young people.

During the ceremony, the University, represented by the Dean, signed a partnership contract with the Sumou Company for investment. The agreement provided for a variety of developmental solutions for students in the field of entrepreneurship, in order to discover and launch their abilities.

The program works towards enabling students to entrepreneurial investment business by transferring their creative ideas into real projects, based on the latest methods, and effective means in an effective manner and process. On this regard, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Sumou Company, Professor Ahmed Asiri thanked the University for its Efforts. He said, "We have been welcomed in all the Saudi universities that we passed by.  But, at King Khalid University, we have found acceptance, ideas, adoption and share, and a trial to ripen thoughts." Asiri explained that the main objective of the project was not Advertising, but to create a business minding person, who could control the challenges of entrepreneurship.

The dean of student affairs also called for all students to share their thoughts. Arguably he said, "The university is currently offering great opportunities that must be exploited" He added, "The university is supporting financially, and will always sign agreements with the company to assist in the organization and signing of contracts to publicize the students' projects - not for financial support.

It is noteworthy that the program will organize a student trip to Japan in order to provide the participants with different experiences in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship in Japan, in addition to developing their skills of exploration and development.

His Excellency King University President, Prof. Abdulrahman Hamad Aldawood has yesterday, Wednesday (5/1/1436 AH)  sponsored the signing of a cooperation agreement between the university and the Saudi Arabian Association for Culture and Arts in Asir Province. The venue was at Abha University city.

The aim of the agreement is to support the cultural work, or artistic works in general, and theater activity in particular. The agreement will contribute to build bridges of cultural communication, and will promote social works springing from the values, programs and objectives that are shared between the two sides - the University and Association.

Moreover, the agreement aims at providing the necessary training for the members of the university theater club, the staff and student, through activities by the association. It also aims at providing cooperation in cultural, theatrical and artistic events, by conducting programs, meetings, seminars and workshops and theater, and the organizing of theatrical workshops and seminars programs, in addition to enrichment of folklore, plastic, and photography in a way that achieves the aspirations of both sides. Dr. Merra'e Al-Habash, the Dean of Student Affairs represented the University at the signing of the agreement. He took over the executive tasks of the agreement. On the other hand, the Association was represented by its Director, Mr. Ahmed Alsroe. The agreement was witnessed by a number of university and Association representatives at attendance.

In his statement, Dr. Al-Habash confirmed that the university believed in the competence of the Association, and its potential for training young people, besides presenting programs which cherish talent. He said, "No doubt that the Association is the main culture and art house in the region. Therefore, the university is replete with many of the young talents that need to be granted the opportunity to present what they have through the gate of the Association. He continued, we hope through this agreement to achieve the aspirations of our young people and our daughters in the region."

On his turn, the association's director - Ahmed Alsroe - stated that the agreement came within the institutional partnership contracts that each of the parties - King Khalid University and the Association - sought to serve youth and daughters of the region. Services could include cooperative programs, which present culture and arts in fruitful academic frames. He considered the agreement one of the most important partnerships between the Association and other state institutions. He praised the potentiality of the university in the region and its leading role in the quest for training its students, in addition to providing unique training programs in an honorable way in cooperation with the Association.

between King Khalid University and the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities

On Wednesday, 15/07/1435AH, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Asir region sponsors signing  a cooperation agreement between King Khalid University and the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities. The Authority for Tourism and Antiquities is represented by its Chairman, His Royal Highness Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz. King Khalid University is represented by its President, His Excellency Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al-Dawood. The agreement comes as part of the initiative, Asir... a Main Touristic Destination around the year.

In this regard, the President of King Khalid University expressed his happiness with the agreement, which would support the field of tourism in Asir. He said, "Mainly, the agreement is for the sake of the region, in terms of human resource development, and integration in the development of national, human, and touristic resources."

He explained that the agreement comes to prepare touristic training programs, in addition to making necessary researches and studies, and organizing conferences and forums that support educational tourism, and exchange experiences between the two parties in a number of areas.

Al-Dawood confirmed that King Khalid University will harness all its capabilities to serve the nation in general, and Asir region in particular by supporting tourism, which is one of the advantages of this region. He said, "One of the terms of the agreement is to cooperate in the field of products and touristic programs, such as organizing events and activities that have a positive impact on touristic attraction in the area."

In this regard, the Dean of the Institute of Research and Councilling and Strategic Studies at the University, Dr. Abdullatif Bin Ibrahim Al-Hedithi clarified that the agreement will continue for two years, and will be renewed automatically. He added that the agreement provides a joint team for the supervision and guidance acting as coordination between the two sides and approves the content of each program.
