More than 5,900 students have enrolled in the summer term at King Khalid University (KKU), starting from the last Sunday in all branches and departments of the university. Priority was for the graduate students, and then the rest of the students, according to the availability of disciplines and teaching staff in the summer semester.
The Dean of Admission and Registration Deanship, Dr. Sultan Al Farah, clarified that the university took into account priority for graduates, and then opened the visit among the university internal headquarters for male and female graduates. In case a college in Khamis Mushayt (for example) is not available, students are able to enroll in a college in Abha, Asir, or Mahayel or others. Dr. Al Farah added, "After departments' sufficiency, a third phase of the summer semester will be opened for the remaining departments for the students in the advanced levels in order to benefit from the summer period." He stressed that the summer semester began characteristically, and colleges started teaching to help all students at all levels with superior service.
Dr. Al Farah pointed out that the withdrawal of the summer semester must be from the colleges in order to ensure seriousness. Anyone who has an excuse or circumstance, has to present a withdrawal request to the college, after that to be sent to the Deanship for direct implementation.
On the other hand, regarding applying for educational diplomas, Dr. Al Farah emphasized that the number of applicants of both sexes exceeded 5, 000, indicating that the submission period has been extended until next Saturday, the 18th of this month in the 1437 year. He further clarified that during the next two weeks, results would be sorted, accepted students would be notified by SMS, and then they would get a university number after presenting a payment receipt.
Dr. Al Farah added, "Acceptance will be executed transparently and will depend on higher rates in addition to the conditions approved by the boards of colleges; full-time and attendance."
